Martí "Carl" Germain

Martí grew up in a musical family and could sing perfectly in tune by age two. At age four he began studying classical piano, and later taught himself guitar and bass which would become his primary instruments.

Soon after Martí started a series of bands playing punk, metal, hardcore and progressive rock. He also began recording himself from a young age, moving from a purple kids’ tape recorder to a 4 track cassette and DAW-based recording in the early 2000s. In 2009 Carl became a student of Robert Fripp’s Guitar Craft courses, which greatly influenced his approach to playing as well as teaching.

Martí has taught guitar and bass to hundreds of students of all ages over the last decade. Carl has recently toured and performed with Robert Fripp and the Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists, Motopony, Pickwick, and Golden Gardens, and more.
