Billing

Billing happens when you hit subscribe on your link in Paypal. We must receive your PayPal subscription by the second week of the month. If payment does not go through your plan will be halted until we can get a hold of you to work out payment moving forward. Do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any issues with payment.

Through PayPal, you are able to cancel your lesson subscription at any time. In order to not have us invoice you for “missed” lessons still on the schedule after unsubscribing you will need to give us at least one week of notice before canceling your subscription.

Student Expectations

Please bring your instrument, music folder and necessary materials (picks, drum sticks, etc) to every lesson if possible. We understand there are occasional logistical issues bringing instruments and/or music to a lesson. If this comes up, let the school or your teacher know in advance if possible so they can plan your lesson accordingly.

PRACTICING

Our recommendation is to practice a little bit, every day. This could be an hour, or it could be 5 minutes. 20-30 minutes per day is an attainable goal for many people. Not everyone has a lot of free time to practice, but it is important to build the daily habit of music. Your teachers understand and realize there will be times when this is impossible, but progress comes not from being perfect, but by doing our best!

Cancellation policy

Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled more than twenty four hours in advance. We will do our best to keep you with your regular instructor for early cancellations for your rescheduled lesson but depending on schedule you may have another teacher. Our teachers are sometimes gone for weeks at time doing things such as recording or touring and during these times a substitute teacher is highly likely. Any lesson cancellations that happen day of your scheduled lesson will not be refunded; your instructor prepared for your time and we want to compensate them for the work they have done on that day.

NOTE

We WILL allow one “oops” day once every three months where a make-up will be granted for a last minute cancellation since we do understand sometimes unforeseen circumstances happen. We will only book these lessons with your regular instructor since they prepared for your original lesson.

WiFi Issues

If you encounter WiFi issues to an unbearable degree within the first half of your lesson we will grant a reschedule. This rescheduled lesson must be within the same week of your original lesson and must be with the same instructor so they can be compensated for their time planning your lesson.

The “first half” of your lesson is defined as such:

  • 30 Minute Lesson: 15 minutes in
  • 45 Minute Lesson: 20 minutes in
  • 1 Hour Lesson: 30 minutes in

Group Sessions

Due to the nature of the group sessions being collaborative we sadly cannot offer make-ups of any kind for missing a group session. You can however email the school to see what you missed and what your assigned focus is for the week (recording a part, trying to write a part, etc).

Group Behavior

We will not tolerate any negative speech, racism, ableism, sexism or transphobic speech of any kind in our group sessions. If you student uses their time in the group to say anything along these lines they will be asked to leave the school. We are here to focus on music and positivity and anything that does not promote those two items will not be tolerated.
